Success Stories
- 200 children have received scholarships from ACT to pursue their education in rural areas of Uttar Pradesh
- More than 400 children have been motivated, prepared and admitted in regular schools in last six years by our teachers working in these areas. When we started, the number of non-school going children in two slums (Israel camp and Shankar camp) in Delhi was very high. With the motivation from our teachers and more recently with Right to Education (RTE) Act, more children are going to schools. As per our last survey in 2013, less than 5% of children living in these slums in the age group 6-18 are now not going to regular school.
- Several blind children have been supported in their educational aspirations.
